FAQs

Oklahoma requires voters to present proof of identity when voting in person. There are three ways to prove your identity:

  • Photo identification issued by the federal government, state of Oklahoma or federally recognized tribal government  the Oklahoma Board of Election
  • County election board voter identification card
  • Affidavit with provisional ballot

You can find your polling location by logging into the Oklahoma Voter Portal. Once you enter some basic information like your name and date of birth, scroll down and a map should appear with the address to your polling place.

Primary elections for candidates are limited to voters who have self-identified as party members in the 2026 election. Voters registered as independents will not be allowed to vote in any Oklahoma primary election through 2027.

The last day to change party affiliation was March 31

If you are not eligible to participate in a political party’s primary elections, you can still cast your ballot in nonpartisan elections or state questions.

State Question 832 asks voters whether Oklahoma should increase its minimum wage from $7.25 to $15 an hour by 2029.
