“Indulgence” at First Friday
6 to 9 p.m. Friday
What is indulgence to you? Is it an escape, a reward, a ritual or quiet self-destruction? The 40 artists featured in this Living Arts exhibition curated by Alyssa Fields have each created works that explore the many dimensions of indulgence through their respective mediums.
Summer Bizarre
8 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. Saturday
Bizarre Underground Wrestling hosts its annual summer bash headlined by a battle royale wrestling event at The Property Event Center, 11500 S. 129th E. Ave. There’s also a car show, kids zone, hot dog eating contest, tattoo and piercing, vendors and more.
Guided Mansion Tour
11 a.m. Saturday
Take a tour of Tulsa Garden Center, 2435 S. Peoria Ave., and see areas not available to the public, learn about its evolution from residence to Garden Center and discover a deeper appreciation for this majestic mansion.
Oklahoma Comic Con
10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday
Two days full of pop culture will take over Arvest Convention Center, 100 Civic Center. There will be vendor booths, cosplay, gaming and celebrity guests including Tom Kenny, Anthony Michael Hall, Randy Quaid, Kane Hodder and more.
“Storm’s Comin’” opening reception
5 to 8 p.m. Saturday
Local artist Katherine Hair Eagle’s solo exhibition opens at Positive Space, 1324 E. 3rd St., with a reception. It is a collection of works made in response to rapidly degrading environmental changes, exploring how storms, fires and floods are shaping our natural world.
