We’ve got the scoop on your weekend. Here’s the Flyer’s top five.

A Journey Through Art, Music and Cinema
7 p.m. Friday

Watch “Shaft” and take part in a conversation led by Tulsa rapper Steph Simon in Philbrook Museum of Art’s auditorium. This one-night-only event begins with an art market including No Parking Studios, Black Moon and McLain High School art students. Enjoy a unique DJ Art Walk with DJ Nonanme through the museum’s exhibit “Homeward to the Prairie I Come: Gordon Parks Photographs from the Beach Museum of Art.”

Cottage Chemistry: A Heated Rivalry Dance Party
9 p.m. Friday

Vanguard hosts a 18-and-up celebration for North America’s latest TV obsession with a dance party that features the “Heated Rivalry” soundtrack, the hottest queer pop anthems and nostalgic alt hits all night long.

Afrofest
5 to 10 p.m. Saturday

Shop local Black-owned businesses, vibe to music from live DJ sets and get creative with interactive art and live performances at this free event celebrating Black culture inside the Big 10 Ballroom.

“A CONVERSATION” Concert
7 p.m. Saturday

Liggett Studio hosts Crescent Window, an experimental cross-disciplinary performance including a music score based on the action of Cara Cox doing a live painting. Cox’s movements will act like a conductor to an orchestra, and the painting itself will dictate the colors of the music.

“The SpongeBob Musical” – Youth Edition
2 p.m. Sunday

When the citizens of Bikini Bottom discover a volcano will soon erupt and destroy their humble home, SpongeBob and his friends must come together to save the fate of their undersea world. The performance is presented by Tulsa Theatre Works.
