Hip-Hop 918
6 p.m. Friday
Enjoy a free night of jazz-infused hip-hop as Grammy Award-winning Digable Planets headline a free all-ages concert. The legendary trio brings its Blowout Comb 30th Anniversary Tour to Guthrie Green, 111 E. Reconciliation Way, with an opening set by Murs. There will also be a graffiti battle, TMC Records showcase, turntable lessons and more.
Miss Gay America Oklahoma
7 p.m. Friday and Saturday
Contestants compete in a preliminary for Miss Gay America at Tulsa Little Theatre, 1511 S. Delaware Ave. Celebrate the incredible reign of Yakisoba Zay Michaels Brooks, Miss Gay Oklahoma America 2025, and welcome (our very own) Tracy La Louisianne, Miss Gay America 2026, in this two-night event. Tickets are $30.
Pollinator Party
10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday
Join in the free celebration of the amazing creatures that keep our ecosystems thriving with a party at Broken Arrow’s Ray Harral Nature Center, 7101 S. 3rd St. Whether you’re a nature enthusiast, a curious kid or just looking for a Saturday outing, there’s something for everyone.
Oklahoma Route 66 Centennial Car Show
10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday
Cruise down the Mother Road to Sapulpa’s Tee-Pee Drive-In, 13166 W. Ozark Trail, to see nearly 300 classic, custom and modern vehicles. Admission is free. Want to include your classic car in the show? There is advance and walk-up registration available that will cost between $25 and $30.
“A Hell of a Man: Jim Thompson at 120”
7 p.m. Sunday
Join Oak Tree Books in celebrating the life and works of Oklahoma’s own “Dimestore Dostoevsky” Jim Thompson on what would have been his 120th birthday with a Circle Cinema screening of “The Killing,” directed by Stanley Kubrick and co-written by Thompson. There will also be a panel discussion featuring award-winning authors Megan Abbott, Lou Berney (also a writer on FX’s “The Lowdown”) and Thompson biographer Robert Polito.
