We don’t believe in reporting the news from our desks. Led by Community Journalism Director Lexi Goodnough, our staff are on the ground, meeting residents where they live, work and play.
Here is where you can find us the week of Sept. 21-26. Got an idea of where we should head next? Email us at lexi@tulsaflyer.org about how we can connect with your community.
Tulsa Tech Week: This week marks the second Tulsa Tech Week, where 100+ events will bring community members together in a variety of ways. We’re participating in a couple ways:
- On Tuesday, Flyer/Eagle staff are coworking at Gradient, 12 N. Cheyenne Ave. Gradient is offering free coworking all week, but you need to sign up in advance. Join us to see how local news is made.
- We’re hosting AI and Local News: A Conversation About Trust Wednesday from 5:30-7 p.m. at Bronson Brookside Library, 4607 S. Madison Place. Whether you’re curious about AI, skeptical of its implications or tired of not knowing what to believe online, this conversation is for you. Read more about the event and register here.
- On Thursday, connect with us at The Root Coworking – East Village, 110 S. Hartford Ave. Ste. 100. The Root is also offering free coworking all week, but signing up in advance is required. Join us to share what innovations you’re working on or excited about.
Neighborhood celebration: Goodnough is tabling at Schlegel Park, 3825 W. 53rd Place, for the South Haven neighborhood celebration Saturday, Sept. 26 from 5-8 p.m. She wants to connect with South Haven residents to understand more about the neighborhood’s history and the community stories we should tell — so come introduce yourself!
