We don’t believe in reporting the news from our desks. Led by Community Journalism Director Lexi Goodnough, our staff are on the ground, meeting residents where they live, work and play.

Here is where you can find us the week of Jan. 26-31, given that weather does not affect any of the following events. Got an idea of where we should head next? Email us at lexi@tulsaflyer.org about how we can connect with your community.

Connect with resources: We’re tabling at the Food on the Move Community Resource Festival at The Common Good Tulsa’s Northwest Tulsa Hub, 19 S. 49th West Ave., from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Jan. 27.

Meet newsroom staff at Que Buena: The Flyer and Eagle are hosting a meet and greet in partnership with Que Buena, Tulsa’s regional Spanish-language radio station. Eastside/La Semana reporter Angelica Perez and other newsroom staff will convene with community members at Que Buena’s studio, 10915 E. 31st St., from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Jan. 29.

Celebrate Tulsa’s Asian communities and cultures: The city’s Asian Affairs Commission is hosting Tulsa Asia Fest from 3 to 8 p.m. Jan. 31 at Arvest Convention Center, 100 Civic Center. Flyer and Eagle staff will be there at an educational booth to engage in conversations rooted in curiosity and reflection. The event is free to anyone interested in learning more about Asian heritage and stories in Tulsa.
