Student Summit: Goodnough will table at this year’s Tulsa Indian Education High School Native Student Summit happening from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Sept. 17 at Tulsa Tech Owasso Campus. The summit will feature a motivational speaker, college recruiters, career programs and tribal scholarship information.
918 Day: Sept. 18 is a special day in Tulsa. Join Flyer and Eagle staff at the third annual 918 Day Festival, a community celebration of local entrepreneurs, artists, food vendors and cultural organizations at Chapman Green, 600 S. Main St. from 5 to 9 p.m. Sept. 18. Click here for more information about the free festival.
La Fiesta de Tulsa: Flyer staff will be on hand at east Tulsa’s largest celebration of Hispanic Heritage Sept. 19. The parade kicks off at Cooper Elementary, 1801 S. 123rd. E. Ave., at 3 p.m. and travels through the Tulsa Global District to Hannah Hall, 1801 S. Garnett Road, where the festival begins at 4 p.m. and will offer food vendors, free live music and cultural experiences.
