Attend a free candidate forum: The Flyer is partnering with the Tulsa Press Club and Tulsa World to host free forums with Tulsa City Council candidates ahead of the Aug. 25 election. District 7 candidates take questions at 6:30 p.m. Aug. 3 inside Hardesty Library, while District 2 candidates will speak at 6 p.m. Aug. 6 at University Village Theater. 

Vote & Swim: Eastside reporter Angelica Perez and Goodnough will join Columbus neighbors for their Vote & Swim event at the Valley Glen Pool, 2614 S. 106th E. Ave., from 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Aug. 8. Neighbors are invited to swim, register to vote and share their thoughts on how the neighborhood association should spend its $30,000 PartnerTulsa grant.
