Two young girls used red and blue markers to create anti-President Donald Trump signs March 28. About 50 yards away, state Rep. Cyndi Munson, a Democratic gubernatorial candidate, spoke to hundreds of protesters gathered near the stage at Tulsa’s Dream Keepers Park.

There were more speakers, including stand-up comedians, and live music throughout the Saturday afternoon rally as part of nationwide “No Kings” protests in response to Trump policies.

Whether in the hands of folks gathered near the stage or the hundreds lining the streets, there were signs calling for the end of the war with Iran that began in late February. Other signs demanded the release of all the Jeffrey Epstein files, a reversal of Trump immigration policies and restoration of human and voting rights they say are under threat from the administration.

The protest featured numerous creative ways to call for the end of the Trump presidency. There was also an inflatable Garfield calling for “Yes to lasagna! No to kings!”

It wasn’t the only Tulsa protest on Saturday, with additional demonstrators setting up at East 41st Street and South Yale Avenue.
