Crystal Wahpepah cookbook talk

Burning Cedar Sovereign Wellness and Magic City Books will welcome Crystal Wahpepah for a free in-store event to celebrate her new cookbook, “A Feather and a Fork,” which features powerful storytelling with 125 intertribal recipes. Wahpepah, a citizen of the Kickapoo Nation of Oklahoma, is a chef and restaurateur based in Oakland, California.
2 Minutes to Tulsa
4:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday
Horton Records’ annual music showcase featuring established and emerging metal bands returns to The Vanguard and Fassler Hall for two days of live heavy metal. There’s also the 2 Minutes To Tulsa Bangover Brunch at Fassler Hall at noon Sunday.
Backwoods Hunting and Fishing Expo
9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday
This family-friendly event features some of the best hunting and fishing products in the outdoor industry. There will also be guides and outfitters, the Oklahoma Whitetail Wall of Fame, deer scoring, a Kids Zone, fish tank, workshops and more.
Eastside Rise Easter Egg Hunt
10:30 a.m. Saturday
There will be more than 15,000 eggs to find, plus pictures with the Easter Bunny, face painting, and more at Hannah Hall in east Tulsa.
Caroline’s Spine’s Jimmy Newquist and Friends
6 p.m. Saturday
Caroline’s Spine’s Jimmy Newquist headlines a concert at Maggie’s Music Box in Jenks. The event also features performances by Admiral Twin, members of Molly’s Yes, Radio Radio, The Groove Pilots and Brent & Kent.
