We’ve got the scoop on your weekend. Here’s the Flyer’s top five.
Oktoberfest
11 a.m. to 1 a.m. Friday and Saturday; 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday
Ready to chicken dance and toss pennies into steins? Oktoberfest is back this weekend at the River West Festival grounds. There are more than 200 beers on tap and bratwurst, wiener schnitzel, Bavarian cheesecake and lots more to eat. We suggest waiting ‘til after enjoying the carnival rides to eat all the food.
Sound Bath Meditation in Fly Loft
10 a.m. Saturday
This one-hour, deeply immersive and full-body listening experience uses sound to nurture the mind and body. Sana Meditation will lead this therapeutic experience by playing instruments such as crystal singing bowls, chimes and a gong to fill the space with a variety of sounds and tones to lead participants into relaxation or meditation.
Brookside BooHaHa
11 a.m. Saturday
The largest Halloween parade in Tulsa starts at 11 and runs from 45th & Peoria to 33rd & Peoria. There will be a kids zone, costume contest and more fun.
PhilBark Dog Day
9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday
Bring Fido on a leash and let him have a tail-wagging good time sniffing all the smells in Philbrook Gardens. Philbrook asks to please BYOB (bring your own bowl) to fill at water fountains and enjoy a stroll and outdoor seating with your leashed canine friend.
Nate Bargatze at BOK Center
7 p.m. Sunday
Fresh off hosting the Emmys, standup comedian Nate Bargatze is bringing his “Big Dumb Eyes World Tour” to the BOK. Fun fact, the clean comic is an alum of Tulsa’s Blue Whale Comedy Festival, having performed here in 2016.
