The time left to summit the mountainous Misfit nachos, served in a metal bucket and poured onto a metal tray, is nearing an end.  

After just over two years of operations in the Tulsa Arts District, Misfit Kitchen, 111 N. Main St., is closing this weekend. 

According to a social media post Friday morning, Aug. 2 will be the restaurant’s final day of service. 

“Come make one last memory with us,” the post reads. “Tulsa, thank you for embracing Misfit Kitchen. It’s been an honor to serve this community.”

Daily operations have been overseen by co-owner Joe Garrett, who also oversees operations at popular steakhouse Rustic Chophouse in downtown Broken Arrow’s Rose District at 210 S. Main St. 

Before Misfit Kitchen, the corner restaurant space was home to Laffa Medi-Eastern Restaurant & Bar from 2012 to 2022.

It is the latest in a series of downtown closures over the last year, including spots like The Boxyard, Peacemaker and Isla’s Kitchen.
