Tulsa Fringe Festival
Thursday through Sunday
Presented by Oklahomans for Equality and Echo Theatre Company, the expanded four-day festival celebrates independent artists, fresh perspectives and creativity without limits. Head to the Dennis R. Neill Equality Center downtown with a series of short plays focused on Route 66 Thursday; a free stand-up comedy show Friday; a full day of performances Saturday; and additional ticketed performances Sunday.
Rodgers & Hammerstein’s “Oklahoma!”
Shows all weekend
The Tulsa PAC’s production is more than a show — it is a shared experience. Make an evening of it with a classic Oklahoma barbecue meal before the show, available as an add-on with the purchase of your tickets, complete with live pre-show entertainment from the cast. Explore historical artifacts on loan from the Claremore Museum of History, including the original Surrey “with the fringe on top” from the film “Oklahoma!”
Summer Bash at WeStreet
11:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Saturday
Head to WeStreet Ice Center for a day full of family fun with three giant inflatables, a vendor marketplace, free skating for the first 100 kids and 100 adults, 200 free game cards, train rides, a photo booth and more. Kids can explore a fire truck, ambulance and other city and community service vehicles, meet local heroes and enjoy hands-on fun.
My So Called Band at Cain’s Ballroom
8 p.m. Saturday
You know them from their numerous sold-out shows at The Vanguard, and now My So Called Band is moving up Main Street to Cain’s Ballroom for a night of ’90s and early 2000s favorites, ranging from rock, grunge and country, to R&B, hip-hop and pop.
Christmas in July
All weekend
It will be a festive morning full of family fun in the Meadow Gold District from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, including free face painting, snow cones, photos with Santa and more holiday activities! Enjoy shopping locally at Meadow Gold Mack’s with Christmas in July fun happening throughout the day.
In Bixby, residents and visitors can explore and shop at participating chamber member businesses for a chance to win cash prizes. Owasso is hosting a free citywide Elf Scavenger Hunt filled with Christmas fun, local shopping, special promotions and cash prizes.
