Soccer will soon take over North America as the 2026 FIFA World Cup kicks off June 11 and runs through July 19. 

The World Cup will feature 104 matches spanning across Canada, Mexico and the U.S., with 48 teams competing. Teams will compete in cities within driving distance of Tulsa, including Arlington and Houston.

When does the 2026 FIFA World Cup kick off? 

The games kick off at 2 p.m. June 11, when Mexico takes on South Africa. The next game is set for 9 p.m. that same day with South Korea competing against Czechia. 

When does the U.S. team play? 

The U.S. team will play its first game at 8 p.m. June 12 against Paraguay. A week later, the team will take on Australia at 2 p.m. June 19. Their third game is set for 9 p.m. June 25 against Turkey. 

When will the Mexican team play?

Mexico’s first game is on June 11 against South Africa — the opening match to the World Cup. 

The team will compete again at 8 p.m. June 18 against South Korea. Their third game is set for 8 p.m. June 24 against Czechia. 

Where to watch in Tulsa 

Local sports bars will play the games on their screens, with some local restaurants and organizations hosting watch parties throughout the span of the World Cup.

Empire Bar
Tulsa’s Empire Bar, a local soccer-themed bar, will show the games starting with the opening matches June 11. The bar, located at 1516 S. Peoria Ave. in the Cherry Street area, is open from 3 p.m. to 2 a.m. daily. 

George’s Pub
George’s Pub in Jenks, located at 108 N. 1st St., will be open and showing games. The bar opens from 11 a.m. to 2 a.m. Monday through Saturday, with it opening at noon on Sundays. 

Elgin Park
Downtown’s Elgin Park plans to play every single World Cup game throughout June 11 to July 19. The bar is located at 325 E. Reconciliation Way and open daily from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m.

Watch parties

Holy Family Cathedral

  • What: Tulsa’s oldest Catholic church and school will host a FIFA World Cup watch party for the U.S. v. Paraguay game. You can sign up here for the free event, which includes dinner and activities.
  • Time: The party starts at 7 p.m., with the game kicking off at 8 p.m.

918 Maples and FC Tulsa

  • What: The 918 Maples restaurant and FC Tulsa are partnering up to host a watch party for Mexico’s third game against Czechia. 
  • Time: 6 p.m.
  • Date: June 24
  • Place: 317 S. Trenton Ave. 

Que Gusto

  • What: Ecuadorian-inspired restaurant Que Gusto will host three watch parties for the Ecuador games. You can register to attend online for $25
  • When:
    • 6 p.m. June 14
    • 7 p.m. June 20
    • 3 p.m. June 25
  • Place: 105 Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd.
