Greenwood Rising is celebrating five years of preserving the history and legacy of Black Wall Street.
The history center is celebrating the milestone with a special Resilience Luncheon Monday, June 1 at 11:30 a.m. at The Vista at 21.
The luncheon will feature retired Gen. Russel L. Honoré, a decorated 37-year Army veteran who led the military relief effort after Hurricane Katrina.
Following his retirement, Gen. Honoré has been a leading voice on national security, disaster relief and climate preparedness. He will participate in a discussion, moderated by Tulsa Flyer and The Oklahoma Eagle executive editor Gary Lee.
