Ahead of the June 16 primary elections, Tulsa Press Club, The University of Tulsa’s Office of Civic Engagement and our partners at Oklahoma Watch will host Candidate Conversations, a series of free public forums featuring Republican and Democratic candidates.

Save the dates

Both events will take place at the University of Tulsa’s Lorton Performance Center at 550 S. Gary Place. The public can meet the candidates from 5 to 6 p.m. in the lobby and stay for the forum held on the main stage from 6 to 7:30 p.m. (You may also see some familiar faces in the audience and on stage, as Flyer journalists cover the events). 

Gubernatorial candidate forum

Tuesday, June 2

Confirmed candidates in attendance include Gentner Drummond, Leisa Mitchell Haynes, Chip Keating, Charles A. McCall and Cyndi Munson.

State superintendent candidate forum

Thursday, June 4

Confirmed candidates in attendance include Robert Franklin, Jennettie Marshall and Adam Pugh.

Another forum is set for Aug. 11, featuring candidates in an expected runoff for the Congressional seat being vacated by U.S. Rep. Kevin Hern, R-Oklahoma. For more information on the 2026 Oklahoma primary elections, view our voter guide
