It was a groovy Saturday night at The Venue Shrine, when Arkansauce played the South Boston venue Dec. 20. 

Arkansauce is a genre-hopping, four-piece string band from northwest Arkansas that blurs the lines between bluegrass, newgrass, folk, Americana, country, blues and funk.

The Shrine, in the SoBo district, hosts live music most nights of the week. Among the shows to catch in January are Blaine Bailey Jan. 16 and Zingo Jan. 23.
