During its Dec. 15 meeting, the Tulsa Board of County Commissioners accepted a $12,000 donation from the Tulsa Drillers to the North Tulsa Baseball League at the county-owned O’Brien Park. The item was included among several routine approvals and passed without individual discussion.

O’Brien Park spans more than 140 acres in north Tulsa and includes 10 baseball fields and three indoor batting cages that serve local youth leagues and community programming.

The donation was one of a few agenda items that directly involved funding for youth recreation. The next scheduled meeting for the Board of County Commissioners is set for 9:30 a.m. Jan. 5.
