The Tulsa Board of County Commissioners signed off on spending close to a million dollars on addiction support programs.
At the Dec. 8 meeting, commissioners approved $870,000 worth of funding for Tulsa-based addiction recovery programs, including:
- $450,000 for Crossover Health Services, which provides a variety of services including preventative and specialized health care. This funding will integrate opioid-misuse screening, naloxone distribution and treatment referrals into primary care clinics serving north Tulsa.
- $120,000 for Soberlife Recovery, Inc., which provides transitional recovery housing in Tulsa. This funding will expand case management services.
- $300,000 for Wings of Freedom, which operates a residential sober living program in Tulsa. This funding will expand its housing-first program for families overcoming addiction.
These funds come from opioid settlement dollars designated for treatment, prevention and recovery initiatives.
