The City of Coweta expected such a large crowd for an upcoming data center discussion they changed the meeting location, but that item is now off the agenda.
Coweta’s Planning Commission was set to discuss Project Atlas Monday evening. But the City says the developer, Beale Infrastructure, asked to delay the meeting to gather input and incorporate feedback into the project.
Beale purchased 200 acres from the city to build a hyperscale data center south of town and east of Highway 72. Nearly 100 residents showed up to city hall last month for an open house where residents could learn more about the project.
Monday’s meeting was preemptively moved to Indian Capital Technology Center in anticipation of a large crowd. That meeting is now scheduled for Dec. 15 at ICTC. A Dec. 1 City Council discussion on the project is also delayed and now planned for Jan. 5.

According to the city, Beale hopes the delay will help them “adapt their plan to best serve the community” and give Coweta residents more time to “review the project plans.”
Project Atlas is the second of two Tulsa-area data centers under development by Beale Infrastructure. Local and state leaders took part in a groundbreaking earlier this month for Project Clydesdale — a $1 billion data center near Owasso. The companies behind these projects have not been publicly identified.
If Beale gets all the necessary approvals, construction is expected to begin on the Coweta data center in spring or summer 2026.
