We’ve got the scoop on your weekend. Here’s the Flyer’s top five.

Tulsa Rock & Gem Show
9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday and Saturday
10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday

Shop rocks, gems, minerals, fossils and jewelry inside Expo Square’s Exchange Center. There will also be a free kids zone, demonstrations, fluorescent display, silent auction and more. Adults pay $7 to enter, while kids 12 and under are free with a paid adult ticket. 

Blue Whale Comedy Night: Native Showcase
7 p.m. Friday

A showcase of local Indigenous comedians at The Lowdown featuring Sondra Slade, Zebadiah Nofire, Brent Deo, Dakota Sixkiller and Scotty Lee. Musical act Hector and The Hexed will also take part in this 21 and older event. Individual tickets are just under $20 with fees. 

All-American Cookout
Noon to 4 p.m. Saturday

This family-friendly free event, co-hosted by the Marine Corps League and VFW Post 577, is a cookout for everyone to continue celebrating America’s 250th birthday. Expect burgers and giveaways on tap at this event, where veterans and members of the public are welcome. 

Sharks in the Park
7 to 10 p.m. Saturday

The main event is the first-ever Sharks in the Night drone show, but head to the Oklahoma Aquarium parking lot early for the free hot dogs for the first 1,000 attendees. Families can enjoy a foam party, food and beverage vendors, inflatables, Touch-a-Truck event and a splash zone courtesy of the Jenks Fire Department. The drone show will begin around 9:30 p.m. 

Salsa on the Green
7 to 10 p.m. Sunday

DJ Klave brings the heat on the Guthrie Green dock with an upbeat mix of salsa and bachata.

The free, biweekly event kicks off with a 30-minute lesson, then opens the floor for an evening of nonstop dancing and feel-good vibes. Beginners and seasoned dancers are welcome.
