In 2024, the candidates were incumbent Dean Davis and Challengers Gabe Woolley and Cathy Smythe. The voters choose Gabe Woolley in the Republican Primary, and also in the General Election. They were clearly saying they didn’t want Dean Davis for another term. Now they’ve had a chance to see Gabe Woolley in his term in office. And if they’re looking for more common sense, and someone with compassion and awareness of affordability issues, and of Oklahoma being 50th nationality in education quality, they have only one option they haven’t tried – Cathy Smythe for HD98.

Advocate and Legislate for:

  1. strong democracy.
  2. strong public schools
  3. quality healthcare

  1. Affordability is an issue everywhere. We need ideas to help keep prices in check.
  2. Our constitution and democracy is how we live together and work towards common goals. We need a common playing field for all.
  3. Quality and available healthcare is needed for all.

Dean Davis

25 years

Teacher

Educator and coach in Broken Arrow and Wagoner for over 23 years. State Representative for six.

I have the right team of educators, business leaders and friends behind me, where we want to improve the Oklahoma educational system, teacher retirement system, as well as the workforce pipeline. Several of the ideas we have already pushed through the system successfully and I want to continue to make Oklahoma a better place to call home.

Education, economic development, and property tax

Property tax, insurance rates and education are the top three issues. No one person can fix them on their own. It takes an individual that can rally together a group of both House and Senate members to work together and make the needed fix. Having positive relationships and a team is how you fix any situation. I am that person/coach.
