We don’t believe in reporting the news from our desks. Led by Community Journalism Director Lexi Goodnough, our staff are on the ground, meeting residents where they live, work and play.

Here is where you can find us the week of Nov. 17-22. Got an idea of where we should head next? Email lexi@tulsaflyer.org about how we can connect with your community.

Connect with resources: The Flyer and Eagle are tabling at Oasis Fresh Market, 1725 N. Peoria Ave., from 3 – 6 p.m. Monday, Nov. 17. Meet Ross Terrell, managing editor at The Oklahoma Eagle.

You can also find Lexi at two Food on the Move Community Resource Festivals:

  • Tuesday, Nov. 18 at 4940 N. Frankfurt Ave. (Chamberlain Park) from 5:30 – 7:30 p.m.
  • Thursday, Nov. 20 at the TCC Northeast Campus (3727 E. Apache St.) from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

Anna Colletto, the Flyer’s education reporter, and Lexi will participate in OKEQ’s Community Meal and Rainbow Harvest Saturday, Nov. 22 at the Dennis R. Neill Equality Center, 621 E. 4th St. The community meal begins at noon followed by the Rainbow Harvest from 1 – 4 p.m.

Meet us at the mall: Holiday season is here, and several folks from the Flyer/Eagle teams will table at Woodland Hills mall for the first time. We’ll be set up in the food court Tuesday, Nov. 18 and Thursday, Nov. 20 from 2 – 6 p.m.

Come tell us what stories you’d like to see us cover. Does your holiday shopping look different this year compared to last? We would love to hear about it.
