Strong storms and winds caused significant damage at the Tulsa Tech campus north of downtown Tulsa, including roof damage, broken glass and downed light poles.

Damage was reported at the Tulsa Tech campus near 36th Street North and Peoria in Tulsa.

Crews found debris scattered across the campus, including broken tree limbs, damaged fencing and pieces of insulation blown from buildings. At least one light pole was snapped in half.

Parts of a building roof were torn away, exposing insulation and parts of the structure. Pieces of insulation were also found scattered across the grounds.

Video from the scene showed damage inside one of the buildings, where the front glass doors were blown out and tables were overturned. Broken glass was scattered throughout the interior.

Law enforcement and cleanup crews were on scene assessing the damage while taking precautions because of concerns about the building’s structural integrity.

It was not immediately clear whether classes would be canceled as crews worked to secure the campus and begin cleanup.
