We don’t believe in reporting the news from our desks. Led by community journalism director Lexi Goodnough, our staff are on the ground, meeting residents where they live, work and play.

Here is where you can find us the week of Feb. 9-14. Got an idea of where we should head next? Email us at lexi@tulsaflyer.org about how we can connect with your community.

Coffee and Council: Lexi and Documenters assignment editor Sam Stockley will convene Documenters Wednesday, Feb. 11 at 4 p.m. at Coracle, 314 S. Cincinnati Ave., for the very first Coffee and Council. We’ll discuss that week’s city council agenda items to strengthen each other’s knowledge of local government.

Columbus Neighborhood Gardening Club: On Saturday, Feb. 14 at 11 a.m., La Semana/eastside reporter Angelica Perez and Lexi will join the Columbus neighborhood’s very first gardening club meeting. Neighbors of all ages are invited to learn about seed starting and winter bed preparation. If you’re a Columbus neighbor, join the Facebook group to stay updated on future meetings.
